Course :
Module 1: Crafting a Message
Before you can make an impact, you need to be clear. This module provides a simple framework for preparing any group presentation—from a team meeting to an executive committee meeting—by starting with the objective and building a clear, step-by-step outline.
Case Study : Draft an outline for an upcoming real-life communication (team meeting, executive committee meeting, cross-functional communication), identify the key messages, sequence them logically, and review the outline with your group to refine it.
Session 2: Developing Leadership Presence
A good message that’s poorly phrased won’t convince anyone. This session focuses on the linguistic nuances that make all the difference: the phrasing that conveys authority, the habits that inspire confidence, and the mannerisms to avoid that undermine credibility.
Case Study : Analyze a sample of written or spoken communication (email, speech) and identify areas for improvement using the checklist, then rewrite key passages to enhance their impact and clarity.
Session 3: Personal Development
Theory alone isn’t enough: it’s by practicing on a real topic, in front of an outside observer, that you identify the habits you need to break. Participants deliver a real presentation and receive direct feedback from their partner.
Case Study : Deliver your presentation, receive feedback from a peer on your strengths and habits to correct, and leave with one or two priority adjustments to implement immediately.
