Learning objectives :
- Identify instances of sexism and discrimination, including when they are subtle or normalized
- Responding at the right time and at the appropriate level when faced with a sexist or discriminatory situation
- Define your own principles of inclusion and translate them into concrete actions within your team
Course :
Session 1: Setting Your Red Line: Participants learn to identify sexist or discriminatory behaviors, including when they are subtle or normalized. They analyze these behaviors using the Green/Orange/Red color-coding system.
Case Study : Describe behaviors observed during meetings and determine which ones require a response.
Session 2: Responding to Sexism: Participants practice the “Responding at the Right Level” method to choose between immediate intervention, individual correction, or a discussion at a later time, depending on the situation.
Case Study : Responding to a sexist comment during a meeting without downplaying the facts or losing sight of the group’s goal.
Session 3: Defining Principles: Participants formalize their principles of inclusion and identify the behaviors they wish to encourage or change within their team.
Case Study Example : Write down your principles, share them in small groups, and refine them based on feedback from the other participants.
