Learning objectives :
- Translate a high-level vision into concrete goals and actions for your team
- Use key phrases to outline the different components of an action plan: vision, objectives, metrics, and actions
- Empower your team to take ownership of implementation and maintain their commitment over the long term
Course :
Session 1: Embracing and Communicating a Vision
Communicating a vision begins with embracing it yourself. Participants learn to define their team’s specific contribution to the corporate vision: which high-impact activities to focus their energy on, and in the case of a new vision, which ones to discontinue and which ones to launch. The challenge is to emphasize “Why it matters” so that the message is clear and meaningful.
Case Study : Define your team’s contribution to a given vision by mapping out high-impact activities, those to be discontinued, and those to be launched, so that you can move forward with a clear message grounded in reality.
Session 2: From Vision to Action
A vision without an action plan remains merely an intention. Participants adopt a framework to link vision and action: the three-part structure of objectives/indicators/actions, organized over a 6- to 12-month timeframe. For each objective: actionable indicators (“we will know we have achieved the objective if…”), designated leaders, and concrete actions.
Case study : Practice with real-world scenarios using the three-part framework of objectives, indicators, and actions, formulating measurable indicators and concrete actions based on a given vision.
Session 3: Engaging Your Team in Implementation
Communicating a vision once is not enough. Participants learn how to empower their teams to take ownership of initiatives aligned with the vision and track progress on a daily basis: by celebrating small wins that support the strategy, regularly sharing challenges, and turning setbacks into collective learning opportunities.
Case Study : Define a plan for delegating responsibilities and monitoring progress for key initiatives related to the vision, assigning each initiative to a specific person and a concrete performance metric.
