Meeting with Aurélie Boukerche

Meet Aurélie Boukerche, HEC Paris-certified professional coach and corporate trainer. With 10 years' experience, first as a Senior Business Developer in an ESN and consulting firm (team of 35 employees), then as a professional coach and trainer for the past 4 years (+600 workshops conducted remotely, 30 face-to-face days and 400 hours of individual professional coaching), Aurélie has developed genuine expertise in leadership, management, communication and organization.

In addition to coaching managers and employees, she facilitates workshops in collective intelligence, public speaking and pitch writing (fundraising and sales) to help entrepreneurs make an impact and be convincing.

Hello Aurélie, can you tell us more about yourself and your career?

I began my professional career as a Business Developer with an ESN, specializing in IT and market finance. I particularly enjoyed accompanying consultants, guiding them in their missions with our customers and offering them training adapted to their development.
Then I joined OnePoint, where I was both a sales person and a trainer. I had the opportunity to travel between Bordeaux, Nantes and Paris to give training courses at various head offices. This experience really inspired me, and I began to wonder whether I didn't want to do something other than sales and consulting full time. It was at this point that I decided to take some time out to reflect on my professional career, and decided to make a dream come true: to travel around the world.
These 10 months were a great opportunity to explore the world, meet the Other and myself! When I returned at the end of 2018, I decided to devote myself fully to training and coaching. So I went back to school and was certified as an "executive coach" by the HEC coaching school. I then founded my own company, "Case d'Après", where I've been coaching for four years now.

What are your areas of expertise?

On a daily basis, I run a wide range of training courses on the subjects of leadership and management. In fact, I've already run over 500 workshops with Numa for employees, managers and leaders from major groups and startups such as Accenture, PWC, Havas, Alma, Payplug, TF1, Dailymotion and Bouygues Télécom. I also have a particular interest in communication and public speaking.

How did you meet Numa?

I was recommended by Alexandre PAGES, former CTO of Station F, to the previous COO (Baptiste CAPRON) of NUMA in 2020. At that time, I was already designing speaking workshops, offering two-hour online sessions. When I met with Baptiste, I expressed my keen interest in this type of format, combining theory and real-life situations, pointing out that I was already delivering distance learning courses of this duration. Although distance learning was not yet widespread, as we were just coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was important to establish this type of training within companies. But I had a strong conviction in their value. Our collaboration began in January 2021, and I've been working with NUMA for three years now.

What do you think is the key to successful training?

I'm convinced that the success of a training course lies in the quality of its content, combining theory and practice in a balanced way. It's important to approach theories through concrete examples and to encourage interaction with participants. I also like to adopt a "test and learn" approach, drawing on my own professional experiences to develop my concepts. The dynamic two-hour format, with interactive sessions and sub-groups, also keeps participants engaged. Finally, I encourage the sharing of personal experiences to better apply the concepts covered.

Can you share with us a technique or method you use regularly in the training courses you run?

I'm energetic and involve participants a lot, which (I hope) keeps them from dropping out. I like to share my own experiences and encourage dialogue and questions. I'm receptive to differing opinions and strive to provide practical tools adapted to each individual. My aim is for each participant to leave with at least one concrete technique that they can put into practice in their daily lives.
